    Cleaning "Party" for Burlingame Water Tower Dance Hall

    Please join us Saturday, Feb 12, 10a for a cleaning "party" at the Burlingame Water Tower Dance Hall (8936 SW 17th Ave, Portland, OR 97219) where we normally hold Friday evening English Country Dances and other activities. We can help the owners make sure the hall is in the best condition for re-opening and dancing again.

    Here's the note from the owners:

    "...It's been a long haul getting through the Covid 19 Bug. We have a few of our groups that have returned to dancing at CHCC. It's also been quite a while since we all got together and gave the insides a good cleaning. Lots of cobwebs and dust have accumulated over the past few years, so we will be having a cleaning party this Saturday, Feb 12, beginning at 10:00am. Many hands make for lite work, so come and join us to freshen up the hall for all of us. If your group has yet to return to dancing, this will be an opportunity to see your dance friends and say hello - invite all your members. Hey, it might even encourage them to get back to dancing. Woo Hoo !!! While we have some cleaning supplies, you may wish to bring some too. Of course, we will all be wearing our face masks. We hope to see you there.

    The Portland Contra Committee meets (usually) on 2nd Monday's to support the needs of Contra dance events and dancers.
