This is a queer loving space that supports the expression, exploration, and rejection of gender & sex identities. The terms used to identify partnered positioning in our dance are Larks and Robins.

The Portland Contra Committee meets (usually) on 2nd Monday's to support the needs of Contra dance events and dancers.

Mark your calendars now for the next Saturday night dance at Fulton Hall. Heather Pinney (piano, fiddle), George Penk (fiddle) and Jesse Shafer (cello) will play; Jesse Partridge will head down from Olympia to call the dances using gender-neutral terms.

Local musicians Sue Songer, Lanny Martin, and Gordy Euler will organize the music. Please contact them in advance so that you can learn about their musical plans. Rich Goss will lead the callers' Open Mike. You can contact him in advance or show up and sign up for a calling slot.
