Admission: $15 per person allow us to meet our fixed expenses and pay musicians and callers adequately. Sliding scale, $6 - $20+
Newcomers session:7:00 pm; Dance starts at 7:30.
All are welcome! No partner or experience is necessary.

Contra dance tunes taught by ear. All melody instruments, all levels welcome! No cost to participants!
We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month to learn tunes by George Penk or Betsy Branch, alternating between SW and SE Portland. The focus is on developing a common repertoire to play by ear at jam sessions and, for those who wish, at 5th Saturday Open Band contra dances. Every third month, rather than learn new tunes we jam on the ones we've learned, plus whatever else people want to play. The repeated monthly schedule is as follows:

Our Saturday night series at Fulton Hall continues! Countercurrent Plus (Alex Sturbaum, Brian Lindsay, and friends) will head down from Olympia to play for our dancing pleasure. Susan Petrick will visit from California and use gender-neutral terms.

Some dancers head to a pub for "afters" -- all are welcome!

Saturday night dancing at Fulton Hall continues! Peter and the Wolf Tones (George Penk, Heather Pinney, Jess Shafer) will play. Lindsey Dono will head down from Tacoma to call using gender-neutral terms.
