Joyride presents a concert of dance music

We miss our lovely dancers and we miss playing music for people who enjoy hearing it. We’ll get back to dancing on First Wednesdays at some point, but for now this is what we can offer.

    When: December 1, 2021 7:30 p.m.
Where: Polish Hall in Portland. 3832 N. Interstate Av.  The hall is 1-1/2 blocks North of Kaiser Medical Center and across the street from the Palms Motel (bright 50’s neon…).  Take MAX: Yellow line.  Exit at the Overlook Park station; walk 1 block North.

Admission: No charge, although we will gladly accept donations. Our expenses consist of sound system and operator, hall rental, and insurance.
Donations: We will have a donation bucket at the concert. Once your spot at the concert is confirmed, Sue Songer will provide Paypal / Venmo information for those who prefer that.

    Attendance:

For Covid safety reasons, we will need to cap attendance and we’ll implement an initial first-come model followed by a lottery. The first 30 respondents will be confirmed to attend. After that, there will be a lottery to determine who can be admitted.
You will receive an email with information about your attendance status and a reminder of Covid protocols.

    When and how to register:

Registration is now open. It will close on Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and the lottery will commence if it is necessary.

Your “registration” consists of an email to the Joyride email account (joyridecontra@gmail.com) indicating your intent to attend. (Please register for yourself and your immediate family only rather than registering a large group of friends. We want to do this as fairly as possible. If you want to register with people outside your family but in your Covid “pod”, keep that to just two or three people, please.)

    Covid protocols:

    • Masks are required indoors at all times (except for wind players on stage)
    • Proof of vaccination is required at the door (vaxx card or photo of vaxx card)*
    • Signed liability waiver is required and those will be available at the door*
    • he attendance cap will allow for spacing between individuals and between “pods”

*If you know that your vaccination status and signed waiver was collected by PCDC at a prior event, then there’s no need to bring that information. We’ll have the PCDC database for reference although this is not a PCDC event. If you’re not sure, bring your vaxx card or a picture of your vaxx card.

    Fragrance free please!

  • PCDC Concert with Campaign for Reel Time

PCDC Concert with Campaign for Reel Time

    Sat Dec 11, 2021

PCDC is excited to announce a concert featuring Campaign for Reel Time (Betsy Branch/fiddle, Bill Tomczak/clarinet/saxaphone/drum, Mark Douglass/piano)

When: Saturday, December 11. Doors open at 7:15, show 8:00-9:00, building close 10:00
    Where: Fulton Park Community Center
Cost: $6-20 sliding scale - cash only

    How do I sign up?
While we’d love to host every single member of our community, attendance will have to be much more limited than what we’re used to. All attendance will be determined by individual lottery. Please go to our sign-up form today. On December 2nd, we will pull names and notify everyone that definitely has a spot. We’ll also let the top ten people on the waitlist know as much.

    This is indoors?
Yes! All four sets of doors will be wide open for the duration to maximize outside airflow and we’re limiting capacity so we can all maintain distance.  See the PCDC Covid-19 information page more details.

    What other precautions?
Please don’t attend if you feel ill or have recently been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. We encourage you to consider not attending if you are immune compromised, live with or care for those who are, or have unvaccinated household members.

What kind of mask should I wear?
There's a handy infographic on the PCDC Covid-19 information page. Please take a minute to review it. If you don’t have a good, properly fitted mask, that’s okay! We’ll give you one at the door.

    Are vaccinations required?
YES!  Vaccinations are the most effective way to keep our community safe and show each other that we care. Before entering, you will need to sign a waiver and share proof of vaccination.  Boosters are recommend but not required.

If you’ve already done both of these things with PCDC, you’re good to go! If you haven’t done one or both of these, you may do so at the door or avoid the bottleneck by starting the process online.

We’ll send more information to attendees closer to the date and are looking forward to December!
