Sun Sep 24, 2023You do not need to be registered for the Ball in order to attend this Ball workshop. Erik will be teaching some of the more difficult dances on the program, as well as some of the more common dances.

NOTE: We want to protect the floor, so please be sure to bring dancing shoes or warm socks.The ball workshops are designed for learning the dances on the ball program and are not intended to be an introduction to English country dance. Each of these workshops will focus on different ball dances and styling tips. Familiarity with English figures and geography will be assumed at the workshops.
If you are new to English country dance, please attend the PCDC Friday Night English Dance as often as possible prior to participating in the workshops.

The band includes Alex Sturbaum (guitar, accordion, vocals) and Brian Lindsay (fiddle, banjo, foot percussion, vocals).6:30 pm doors open7:00 concert starts$10 advance, $10 at the doors

Per PCDC Guidelines: Vaccinations/boosters are no longer being verified and new attendees no longer have to compete a waiver. Well-fitting masks are required for all, except the caller and musicians when they are on the stage.
Dancing starts at 7:30.
Newcomers are always welcome. We waive the admission fee the first time you attend. An introductory session is available at 7:15 upon request.
No street shoes permitted beyond entryway. Only clean soled shoes permitted on the dance floor.
No partner required
Admission: Sliding Scale. Pay what you can. Recommended range $7.00 - $15.00
