Learn contra dance tunes by ear!
If you play a melody instrument and want to learn some of those tunes you’ve been dancing to, the Second Thursday PCDC Dance Tunes Sessions might be for you! Tunes are taught by ear in true folk music style, by local musicians who are great teachers and are masters of contra dance music. The focus is on developing a common repertoire so we can play with other musicians at jam sessions, and at PCDC's 5th Saturday Open Band. All instruments and all levels are welcome!
Cost: $10 for PCDC members, $15 for non-members
See our website Opens in new tab for more information and recordings of past tunes.
Meetings alternate between homes in SW Portland and SE Portland. A Zoom option is also available. If you have questions or would like to be added to the distribution list, email Sharon
