On To The Next is a queer-normative community dance event intended to bring our NW elders and next gen queerdos together for a day of dance, dining, and dreaming of what we want our communities to be as we face the next acts of our lives, together.
Come dance, dine, and dream about our future together!
9 hours of dance with a 2 hour community dinner social
Masks encouraged
Non-gendered calling
Inclusive of all genders and agender folks
Community sourced potluck orchestrated by us to meet dietary needs of all
Callers:
Lindsey Dono
Noah Grunzweig
Bands:
Brian Lindsay + friends
Campaign for Reel Time
Peter and the Wolf Tones
Who is this for?
On To The Next is intended for experienced dancers of all identities and body designs. New dancers are welcome, and will likely find it accessible, but they should know to have their attention caps on and to enjoy the learning curve, as the event will not cater to their experience level. Our event is inclusive of people of all or no genders. We use Larks & Robins as calling terms & will have gender-free restrooms.
We prioritize consent, playfulness, and co-creative space. As such, we ask our chaos monkeys to play inside the container as much as possible and for our order monkeys to let go of controlling others as part of their play.
Come absorb the joy, friendship, and community fellowship of a dance weekend in one day!
