    PCDC 2nd Saturday Contra: The <b>Portland Megaband</b> w/Rich, Laurel, and William
    The Portland Megaband will return to the Smith Ballroom at Portland State University
    to play for its annual Portland Country Dance Community benefit dance! 
    Music: The Portland Megaband—a contra dance orchestra of 75+ musicians playing with
    precision and enthusiasm
    Callers: Rich Goss, Laurel Thomas, and William Watson will again share calling duties, using gender-neutral role terms.
    Venue: Smith Memorial Ballroom, Portland State University, 1825 SW Broadway, Portland, Oregon 97201
    Dance: 7:15 - 10:30; Newcomers' session at 6:45.  All are welcome!
    Covid protocols: Though not required, masks and up-to-date vaccinations are recommended to help keep our community healthy. We continue to monitor potential exposures at PCDC events and adjust policies as needed. Refer to the PCDC Covid policy for details.

    Admission: Sliding scale: $15-40 per person ($30 suggested), cash, check, or online registration

    Register and pay online to guarantee admission!

    Proceeds from this event support grants for PCDC callers, musicians, and dancers who

    wish to attend workshops to enhance their skills.

    The Portland Roadhouse: 5 bands, 5 callers
    The Portland Roadhouse will return in 2025, with five bands and five callers, each performing for a 75 minute set!
    There will be a potluck this year. Check back for more details!
